The Curse of Harry Warden: Blood Reaper & Miner's Massacre

For those who can't get enough of My Bloody Valentine and it's remake, here are two cheesy Slashers in the vein of MBV:



Blood Reaper (2003) is about a group of campers fighting for their lives against an urban legend type of killer. The Reaper appears every leap year wearing some sort of miner's mask and hacks nonbeliever. No budget SOV trash with chubby final girls and decent splatter. 8/10 Fun/Cheese

Miner's Massacre (2002) is about a group of friends on a treasure hunt fighting for their lives against an undead miner with a pick axe. Director John Carl Buechler's supernatural slasher has too many dull parts for my taste, but there are great kills and effects plus Karen Black as a backwoods broad chewing scenery as usual. 5/10
