I'm surprised nobody mentioned Traci Lords.  She was in tons of hardcore and softcore porn before going Hollywood.

I did-in the first post of this thread. I actially seen her do porn-in NEW WAVE HOOKERS. All copies of that film have her scenes deleted.

God, how did I miss that?

The woman from the film District B13, billed as Dany Verissimo, was a hardcore porn actress. According to her Wikipedia she now does French softcore, which I imagine is like a European Cinemax.

If we started listing Cinemax actresses I think we would see a lot more crossover between porn and "respectable" cinema.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

During my post about Deathstalker 2, I found out Monique Gabrielle has been in a ton of 80's sleaze pictures... not hardcore porn, but skin-flicks none the less.

Asia Carrera was in "The Big Lebowski".

Sasha Grey in "The Girlfriend Experience"

Jaimee Foxworth (Judy Winslow) from "Family Matters" did porn under the name Crave.

...I found this list (thanks google) if anyone's interested:

Another bit of trivia: IIRC, there's only one legal Traci Lords porn film now, one shot on her 18th birthday.  Rumor goes she herself reported that she was underage to eliminate her past history, since she was trying to go more straight.

BixDugan

A "mainstream" actor you may all have some knowledge of:

Spalding Grey

He's most famous for his monologue movies like "Swimming to Cambodia" and many others. Died in 2004.

I was surprised to see him in a hard-core movie called "The Farmer's Daughters" (1976).

A favorite hard-core actress of mine is Devon Shire.
I was surprised to see her in a wimpy (soft-core) flick on Showtime or HBO one night.

I used to have, like, 7 or 8 porn that featured Traci Lords when she was around 16 years old.
Tragically, I have since lost that collection...

So wait, you owned pornography with underage actresses depicted in sexual situations??

...that's pretty weak dude.

Well, remember that there was a time when everyone believed she was over 18, and the thousands of people who had bought her tapes before the revelation weren't criminals or deviants.  Now, as far as characterizing the loss of those tapes as tragic, you're on your own there, Bix; the best we could say is it was a poor choice of words.

I agree-I owned-way back when-a number of Traci Lords pornos.Way before she fessed up that she was under age. She did it-people bought them. They are out there. Get over it-it ain't kiddy porn-she did it to herself. She wasn't exploited. She exploited herself.

You exhibit sh*t-poor logic.... By your logic; "statutory rape" is justified if the uner-age girl is "willing".... Do you really believe that?
Just because an adolescent willingly exposes and exploits themself doesn't condone you perpetuating that act. They are the child and YOU are the adult, making you the responsible party. I don't give a flying-F*CK who said it was OK or what menial justifications you have for owning child pornography; you still owned that material and therefore perpetuated the act.
It's pretty sad that you, as a grown man, can't see how incredibly f*cked-up that situation really is. And not only that, you somehow try to justify it.

Gee-when she did porn-and when I saw it way back when-no one KNEW she was underage. Including her employers. I wouldn't watch them now. No one talked her into it. She did it on her own. Do I feel sorry for her? NO. She made tons of cash-made a name for herself-and is now a movie star. Traci Lords did it because she wanted to. I don't advocate undrage porn-Traci Lords did-for herself. It was crazy.-BUT-It's a fact-she did it-get over it.

Oh-I haven't seen a Traci Lords porno loooong before she fessed up-when I saw it-I that it was legal. And I would NOT EVER buy child porno-DAM! She f**ked over everyone into thinking she was legal. Not just the buyers.
Can I dismiss her actions because of her age? NO. Can you dismiss the Columbine Killers because of their age??? Teens are not as naive as you would like to believe.

Traci Lords came from a fairly s**t situation, that's fact, BUT, she was by no means an idiot. Even though she was under the legal age to make movies, she knew what she was doing, and made a heap of cash, and caused others to LOSE heaps of cash. Nobody thought she was underage, and what people fail to remember is that at the time there were OTHER stars being investigated in regards to their age, others that were OLDER than her, and of clearly legal age. Traci just slipped under the radar in every way, partially because there were stars out there that looked quite a bit younger.

The point some people are missing, is that people that saw Traci when she was underage, weren't TRYING to see an underage person, they were trying to see ADULTS. I think RC's Columbine reference is spot on.

To boot, I think it's a bit strange that in this country, a 16-year old can consent to having sex, but not be filmed nude? I am by no means condoning kids being pictured or filmed nude, but just pointing out the rather odd situation it presents.

And before anyone comes back with "pictures and film can haunt a person for the rest of their life", well sex leads to something that haunts you even worse, albeit only for 18 years or so: KIDS, not to mention herpes/aids, etc.

Odd comparison, but it simply solidifies my point that teenagers are fickle and stupid, often not accounting for the very near future. The problem isn't that you unknowingly viewed the material, the problem arises when you defend a man who regrettably lost his copies of legitimate child-pornography. Just because it was produced and published doesn't make it justified or right.
There are a multitude of tragedies that can be avoided if adults and parents would start fulfilling their roles.

You know, you just need to get off your high horse. You made your point in regards to where you stand, but you're doing your damnedest to twist and turn this into your own crusade. You dinged Bix without giving one bit of a chance for him to re-iterate or re-word what he said, and if you read the comment that YOU left in doing so, you can see even YOU don't get the point. He admitted to OWNING something that at one time MANY people did, and had no reason to believe it was wrong. He never said he owned it after it was banned, but please, don't let facts get in the way of your crusade. You jump on RC for 'defending' someone for doing something that at the time nobody knew was illegal, that's quite out of line.

What speaks volumes is the fact that you've given out 3 points of karma, and one of those is negative. I DARE you to find anyone as negative on this board.
