This isn't a terrible movie, but it isn't good enough to mention in the "Good Movies" forum, so I posted it here.

A couple on a camping trip (Franco Nero and Corinne Clery) pick up a stranded motorist (David Hess from LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT and other exploitation flicks) on a desert road.  Of course, Hess turns out to be a killer on the run carrying a suitcase containing $2 million in stolen money.  Hess plays mind-games with the couple and abuses them physically and emotionally.

This movie isn't as interesting as it sounds, nor is it as sadistic as it could have been.  The story is dragged out a bit (the running time is 104 minutes . . . I think 90 - 95 minutes would have been sufficient).  Fortunately, whenever things start getting dull Corinne Clery has a nude scene.

I cannot recommend this movie, but I won't urge you not to see it either.  It's a "middle of the road" drive-in movie that has a few good moments but is mostly forgettable.

The Blue Underground DVD includes some pretty good interviews with Nero, Clery, and Hess.

I will watch anything,ANYTHING that stars Franco Nero.

Funny, I can't stand Franco Nero. But since this time he plays a douchebag, his acting kind of helped...  :teddyr:

But I think the movie deserved to be in the good movie board, it's a very entertaining and effectve film. Nero and Hess sometimes ham it up too much, but the pros outnumber the cons, and the ending is clever.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

I struggled with the decision to post this as a good movie or a bad movie.  It's right on the borderline.  I decided to post it here because there aren't enough good elements for me to recommend it to someone.  But I certainly don't hate this movie and I will likely watch it again (but not very soon!)
