okay, which do you prefer. I prefer TNA because it is more real than WWE :teddyr:
yeah no.

Well, as "real" as televised proffessional wrestling can be.  I am liking them a bit more than the WWE right now.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

I like em about equally at this point.  Problem with TNA is they seem to be copying WCW too closely.  Bad choice, seeing as they went out of business.  If they focused more on the younger guys, and utilized their 'veteran' guys like Foley, Nash, Booker T to bring up the younger guys, it'd be much better.

Creatively, both are kinda in the crapper.  As far as in ring action, both companies have guys I like.  WWE: Christian, CM Punk, William Regal, Tommy Dreamer, Undertaker, and HHH are some of the ones I like.  TNA: Angle, Young, Jay Lethal, Chris Daniels and Booker T are the ones I like, and Foley.

TNA, if only because they've got Mick Foley.

Mick is my freakin' hero.

I met him and talked to him once, and I didn't even know who he was.  Just a friend of a friend.  Cool guy.  For some reason, I think he liked the fact that I wasn't a fan so he could talk to me like a normal person.  We discussed the Buster Douglas/Mike Tyson fight.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Both suck but WWE sucks less IMO at least on Smackdown. Still I did enjoy last week's Raw with Dusty Rhodes as guest host. None of it can come close to the joy and fun I had watching the 80s WWF, AWA, NWA, World Class, Calgary Stampede, etc.

I heard TNA maybe getting a second show.  Any truth to that?

Kinda bothers me a bit.  I didn't think their ratings were that huge to warrant a second tv show.  Hell, they're ppv buyrates are kinda low, too.  Enough so that they're considering dropping the amount of shows down from 12 to something like, 6 or 7.

Cause even though their ratings/buy rates are low, they are still making enough money to stay afloat...for now.  Plus in order to buy them, they'd have to be cancelled from Spike.  Generally speaking, Vince and the WWE have an exclusivity contract to whatever station they're on.  At least, for a while, they did.  Meaning, they have a contract with NBC/Universal and TNA is on a Viacom station.  Which is why initially, he couldn't buy WCW back in '01.  He made an offer, but Turner Networks wanted to keep the show on the air, so Vince couldn't buy it.  But then an executive decided to cancel it, opening the doors for Vince to purchase it.

TNA's ratings are low compared to what the WWE gets, but it's high enough for Spike Tv for them to warrant keeping them around.

I had the opportunity to chat with him once too. Sadly, he didn't get the opportunity to talk to a non-fan in my case, but he seems overjoyed by the fact that I was a fan more because of his writing then his wrestling. He said that most of the fans he gets tend to be the kind of guys who jump off of roofs and gets thumbtacks embedded in their brainstems. Lol. Verrrrry cool guy. The best.

Joe the Destroyer

I don't watch either these days, but I have gained an all new addiction to some Japanese wrestling (especially anything comedic, like Dragon Gate or Osaka Pro).

Have you seen CHIKARA Pro Wrestling? Based out of Philly, but very Japanese oriented, and very funny.  Both Bob Saget and Dave Coulier have served as "Commissioner", and one of the characters is CP Munk, a Chipmunk based off/parody of CM Punk.   :bouncegiggle:
