I am proud to be South African at all times and also when a country such as ours which has been through so much, produces a winner like Caster Semenya. 

It's just sad though that some of the politicians chose to play the boring old "race card" by slamming the so-called "white media" and asking why there were no whites at the Johannesburg airport to welcome her and her teammates home from Berlin.
