This thread immediately shot into my little head once I saw a SCREAMERS 2: THE HUNTING at Blockbuster XP

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

Pulse had two sequels, there are three sequels to Zombi 2 and they have little to do with the original and there are those Plant of the Apes sequels, I think there 3 that I always wanted to see.

Starship Troopers had a second sequel.  Even I, one of the 15 people who liked Starship Troopers 2, haven't given this one a chance yet:

I think Starship Troopers 3 does not deserve the bad rep it has, most people seem to immediately dismiss it on the grounds that it's low budget (these being the same people who don't seem to see a lot of movies past what appears in their local cinema), it's actually very good, and an entertaining successor to the original movie.

I kinda wanna like Starship Troopers 2 as a small sidestory, but everything about it is so poorly made and not compelling in the slightest.

Road house has a so-so DVD sequel with Jake Busey as the villain. And The Rock's "Walking Tall" has two lousy DVD sequels starring Kevin Sorbo, of all people.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Rocky Horror has a counter film called Shock Treatment.

and it sucked.

Sez you.

Also... my eyebrow cocked when I found out there was a sequel to 8MM. Imaginatively titled... (wait for it)... 8MM 2. Brilliant. Conveniently, it has absolutely nothing to do with the first movie, or snuff, or the porn industry in general. It's about a politician being blackmailed after making a sex tape or something. It stars the guy who played the lead vampire in The Forsaken, that's all I really remember him from.

Ugh.

From Dusk Till Dawn 3 is pretty good in a B movie kinda way.

I wouldn't bother with the second one.

The opposite applies for the Poltergeist sequels.

Sorry, I was having a bad day.  It's OK.  I guess I was expecting the wonderfullness of Rocky Horror, but it wasn't as good.

My girlfriend seemed to like Carrie 2. I thought it was dreadful compared to the original but half decent if seen on its own terms.

Yeah, that movie was pretty abysmal. However, I thought the chick who played "the new Carrie" was pretty delectable.
