Very senseless to me, but it is also pretty weird for someone to attack someone because of their bad singing.  Your thoughts?

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

I don't know if I've ever heard karaoke singing that wasn't excruciatingly bad.

Hard to imagine what could cause someone to decide a karaoke performance was especially bad.

No, I'm not in favor of assaulting bad performers. I suspect there's more to the story. Notice that the fight started verbally while she was still on stage. So I think whatever name-calling was going on during the performance just escalated once she got off.

I'd be in favor of this for ALL Karaoke singers.  Let's hope this starts a trend  :teddyr:

You're just jealous of our 1337 singing skillz.

This story doesn't give enough info to judge whether or not she deserved it!  What song was it?  How long was it?

On a related note, the only time I did Karaoke it was with my friend and we immediately got banned.  Not because of bad singing though, it's because we sang "Do you want know a secret" by the Beatles, only our version was "Do you want to hold my penis"..and it was on family night (woops).  But we had just watched a 15 year old girl sing a profanity filled Alanis Morrisette song, so we thought it would be OK.  Too bad the manager was a lady because all the male employees thought it was the best karaoke song they'd ever heard.

More like SCARYoke!  I've been involved with it once with a group of friends and we sang Hotel California.  I hated that song in the first place and it was only worse afterwards.

I can't usually stand karaoke but I think I would cheer you on. Especially if you started doing your original bowel-tribute songs.

American Idol has bad karaoke every week.  Perhaps something like this will liven up the show a bit.
