The Burgomaster

There are too many Bill Rebane movies in Mill Creek's 50 movie packs.  This is another one I stumbled across.

The plot (which has is similar to countless other movies) involves 3 eccentric millionaires (why are millionaires always eccentric?) playing a game in which they invite a group of people to stay in a vacant resort and offer $1 million to whoever survives a series of frightening (well, as it turns out, not-so-frightening) events.  Sometimes, the rooms the guests are in become very cold for no apparent reason . . . thus, the title of the movie.

As with all Bill Rebane movies, the characters are not believable, the acting stinks, the dialogue is crummy, and the whole thing looks really cheap.  The best part is when they show clips from Rebane's GIANT SPIDER INVASION on a TV set.

Bill Rebane, the king of Wisconsin-based bad movies!
"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

I actually made it straight through this turd without much wailing or gnashing of teeth.  I hated it, but I just wanted to see if there was a logical reason for the events.  Typical "We don't know how to end this thing" ending.  Even if you hate the ending, give something fairly definitive.

It's truly sad when "The Giant Spider Invasion" is your most accomplished work.  It almost resembles a real movie.

I kind of liked it... but I really like movies with giant houses.  I think I could sit through it again.

Yeah, I watched this from the 50 movie pack too.  It's boring, that's the main defining trait.  A few laughs, but not enough for me to watch it again.

Cthulhu

Oh, this movie was delightfully stupid.
The best part about it is the ending.

About A Month Ago I Got Around To Watching This Movie , It Was Pointless And Stupid But I Thought It Was Pretty Fun
