No, almost but not quite.

I have to give evidence in a trial this month, concerning a South African singer's alleged molestation of a young boy. The reason I have to give evidence is because the singer contacted me years ago, requesting a copy of a film which I provided him with.

So.... I have to give evidence because I did my job.

BTW: the court has just adjourned for tea!!!!  :buggedout:

At least we know they are not after you for laundering anything.

Tell them that when he was asking for the film, he also inquired as to whether you had any young boys he might have.

Imagine if you were on trial IN your underpants (and nothing else)?  Now THAT would be a topic to be reckoned with.

Perhaps they'll get to the bottom of things with you yet Trevor.  I just hope you're not going to stain the trials thus far with your testimony.

Hmm.. there's got to be a funny, "The film wasn't (insert title) by chance was it?" joke in here, but I can't think of one...

The film wasn't The Little Rascals by any chance?

It was actually this: www.imdb.com/title/tt0077307.

A charming film about a lonely young boy and his pet leopard ~ almost the same as the later film Duma.

Come to think of it, Duma is actually a rip-off of this film.

Actually, it is we Americans who are silly about our tea, especially Southerners and their sweet tea.

I actually once lived near Newport, Rhode Island, but one of the reasons I moved, was because I could only get ice tea in the summer. For some reason, during the winters up there, they stopped serving ice tea and started serving hot chocolate. But, now that I'm down South, more or less, I can go into almost restaurant and get ice tea any day of the year.

That is ice tea with lemon juice. While I can drink sweet tea, I have never really got use to it.

And like some Brits, I drink hot tea with milk in it. I actually prefer that to coffee with milk in it.
