Andrew's opinion: "Shooter" (2007)

While it was well filmed and the actors did a good job, this was just another "Americans are the bad guys" piece of crap from Hollywood.  I get sick and tired of these overpaid bozos bashing the country that has made them wealthy beyond the dreams of avarice.

I like to think it's a balancing act against all the films where America saves the universe, ala Independence Day/Armageddon/Transformers/etc.    

It's a pretty entertaining film with a solid and satisfyingly brutal ending.  I always like the films where they get the best-of-the-best killing machine on their side then betray them.  Seems really stupid on the bad guys part, but I like it anyway.
