What movies had endings where you were just stunned at their incoherence, mindlessness, pointlessness, etc., or made you yell "WTF!!  I WANT 2 HOURS OF MY LIFE BACK!!!"?

It may be an otherwise good movie where the sh***y ending soured the experience for you, or it could be a bad movie where the crowning turd was at the conclusion of the film.

Fire away!
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

The very strange ending to Walter Hill's "Southern Comfort" (are they rescued or aren't they?) and "Ronin" where you aren't told what was in the case let me down a little.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

The end of Rockstar (2001) was a total slap in the face for me. Mark Whalberg's character loves music, loves heavy metal and idolises the band Steel Dragon. He plays in a Steel Dragon support band until one day his dreams come true and he gets to sing for his heroes. He tours the world, sleeps with hot women and is filthy rich....

....AND THEN, he decides that he's fed up with all that because he's upset Jennifer Aniston and cuts his hair, goes and plays boring acoustic songs in some snooty poetry cafe, 'cause that's who he is!? WTF!? Why would you do that movie! WHY!  :hatred:

I think it would have been more poetic in that movie if he just died from all the excess.  You're right, it was such a BS Hollywood ending.

City of the Living Dead (1980)

Can't decide if its stupid or a stroke of genius.

Return Of The Jedi...aside the final light saber duel and the part where Luke sees Anakin, Yoda and Obi Wan.  I think the Ewok's triumph is the ULTIMATE BS ending in all of film history.

The cold.
The ending was the most nonsensical thing I have ever seen.
I loved it.

Yes, I agree.

There is one funny thing in that sequence though: Denis Lawson and Mark Hamill nearly kiss at one point. :teddyr:

Eden Lake~ one of the very few movies that left me speechless.
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far~ ruminations

I will admit the Ewok "yub nub" song is a guilty pleasure.  I do, like I said ,LOVE the scene with the Jedi appearing at the end.  That is until they decided to hack Hayden into the shot and remixed the song.

The nerd in me screams out there is no way Anakin should appear like that to Luke.  Anakin redeemed himself thus becomming a Jedi again so he should be middle aged.  Oh well, F-You again Lucas.

The Matrix triology kind of went out with a fizzle didn't it?  I don't think I ever watched the last one in it's entirety. I just totally lost the plot in the second one so I figured why go on.

One I totally forgot, Superman 2.  Awesome plot and villains but that memory erasing kiss was way too much stupidity  to intake.

Harvesters (2001) - one group of baddies vs. another group of baddies.  Kind of an entertaining zero budget thing until the end, when the last surviving character was the most unlikable person in the whole movie.  Oh yeah, way to go with that one.

Supernova (2000) - the universe will either be destroyed, or something wonderful may happen.  That's your ending.     What, did they only pay the writer for 90% of the script or something?
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

Others : The ending of "Mystic River".
The ending of "Scream and Scream Again"

On a South African film basis, the ending of "Dirkie" always leaves ne fuming. Do the father, son and the little dog survive the desert or not?
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Is that the film that ends with the words "And the nightmare becomes reality" ?
