Moving on from people, let's get to the studios that are responsible for distributing most, (if not, all) the b-movies you love to death.

For my pick, I definitely have to name Empire Pictures as my favourite studio. The reason is because when watching most of the films that it distributed in the past, you get the feeling that the filmmakers had a lot of fun making the movie. Plus, I find that although some of the flicks are overly cheesy, they're still a lot of fun to watch. It's too bad that Empire Pictures is gone though, it would've been great to see what new things they coul've come up with.

Best films: Troll, Ghoulies, Ghoulies II,Re-Animator, From Beyond, Cellar Dwellar, The Dungeon Master.

What's your fave studio?

Psycho Circus

I have to agree with DWV on this one, Empire Pictures hands down.

They also distributed:

Arena, Valet Girls, Necropolis, Trancers, Rawhead Rex and Terrorvision...

I'm looked through the storage room of films and found the majority of films i have were made by

1. american international pictures
2. the first new world pictures
3.cannon films
a few avco/embassy films

for classics, i go with american international, for action, cannon. Iadmit it, i like watching 80's charles bronson films, even if they weren't very good

Javakoala

Crown International released (as in distributed) a lot weird and twisted stuff, like:

The Van

Pom-Pom Girls

Trip With Teacher

Twisted Brain

The Ride

Blood Mania

Blood Of Dracula's Castle

Pink Angels

Cindy And Donna

The Teacher

The Stepmother

The Sister-In-Law

Dracula's Dog

Coach (with Cathy Lee Crosby!)

Death Machines

and so on and so on.

Criswell

American International Pictures. They made all the classics.

bakerboy

Charlie Band does not really make movies any more, so

Troma troma dot com/ if you into silly

Bound Heat Films  boundheat dot com if you are into kinky

I gotta go with AIP too.
BUT....how less bright would the world be without INDEPENDENT INTERNATIONAL?
Don't ring a bell?
Ahhhh...but if you've seen DRACULA vs. FRANKENSTEIN, HORROR of the BLOOD MONSTERS, or any of Al Adamson's classicks from the 70's...you know I.I.!

I like AIP for the classics.

and I will throw some love to "The Asylum".  There moves suck, but there is something funny about the blatanly ripping off major blockbusters and for the most part getting away with it.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Troma Studio aka Tromaville.

I was a big fan of USA Up All Night with Rhonda Shear and every other movie was made by Troma.

NowhereMan

AIP
Empire
Full Moon (and yes they STILL do make new horribly good B-movies)
Troma :hot:
Vestron? LOL
