The Star Wars Holiday Special for me...

You guys?

Hmm, besides the Star Wars holiday special, I have to say the remake of Miracle on 34th Street.  I don't know if this qualifies as a special, but it's shown here every year.  It just pales in comparison to the original Miracle on 34th Street.  I just can't really stand it.

Yeah, the Star Wars Holiday Special really has no peer.  Un-friggin'-real.  :bouncegiggle:

Maybe not the worst holiday special, but an honorable mention goes to Henry Winkler's terrible "old man" make-up in AN AMERICAN CHRISTMAS CAROL.

Which one, SPazzo? There was the original 1947 film version with Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle. Then there was the film remake from 1994 with Richard Attenborough as Kris Kringle. Then there was the TV remake from 1973 with Sebastian Cabot as Kris Kringle, which I thought did not compare to the original. And then, much to my surprise, there was a TV remake in 1959 with Ed Wynn as Kris Kringle. It looks like we should be in for another remake sometime during this decade or the next.

The 1994 one.  Like I said, after you've watched it three or four times, it kinda sucks.  But then again I think that counts for all Christmas Specials.  (So far hasn't ruined Christmas Vacation for me though.)

The Star Wars Holiday Special for me too. There are other bad ones, but none so epically bad that you spend the whole time wondering "What the hell they were thinking when they made this?" Besides being the single greatest embarrassment of the Star Wars franchise (and that's saying something), it also epitomizes prime-time network variety specials of the 1970s.

The Animated version of Grandma got run over by a reindeer
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Was that the one with the MTV jokes?  That was terrible. :hatred:
