Recall LaFon when he wrestled in Canadian International Wrestling as Dan Kroffat...was a really bright up and coming star there even though he used to put over guys mostly at that point. Both Furnas & Lafon very solid in-ring. Probably could have done more if they'd had a manager to add some color...

I never saw LaFon in Canadian International.  But overall, they were decent wrestlers who were just 'bland.'  Bockwinkel, I'm somewhat familiar with the solo stuff but I haven't yet seen too much of the older stuff.  I'm just discovering it all now.  Were they AWA?

Yes back in its heyday, Bockwinkel and Stevens held the AWA World Tag Team titles for quite a long time and against some impressive opposition...they were clever and crafty cheaters who knew how to use the limits of the rulebook to their advantage. And both men could wrestle and brawl with the best of them too. Just great, great all around performers. They were also managed by Bobby Heenan.
