Something about the Hollywoodness of this movie bothers me, and I'm usually the last person to be bothered by such a thing.  Call me crazy, but there's something about a rape victim exacting revenge on her attackers that sounds very anti-Hollywood.  It's an idea that was best left gritty and indy.

Actually, the movie itself looks very indy and rough around the edges (it has a $1.5 million budget, for what that is worth - something like 1/10th of what most the Hollywood horror remakes seem to have).  Just the trailer screams Hollywood.  Not saying that's good, as I still think it's a pretty stupid movie to remake.  I mean, it's the story of a woman who gets attacked and then gets revenge. 

There's probably fifty movies out there with virtually identical plots anyway.  Why not just make an original storyline that is similar, but does its own thing?
