1970's - hitch hiker- racoons and exhaust ???????????

All I rememebr is : there a guy who gets picked up hitch hiking and the guy that picks him up has racoons in his car... not sure if this is the same movie... a guy has the exhaust coming into the car and they strange to fight in the car

I recall in Harold and Kumar go to Whitecasle, that in one scene a racoon came into their car, and in another they hitchiked and werepicked up by a freaky man.

Big black 1973 plymouth fury 2-door.

I belive it's the classic "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" with Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges. If I remember right, Bill McKinney is the guy driving the car.
