I know this might annoy a lot of people, but I think its one of the best sci-fi films of the 90's and fitting conclusion of the story.

Well it finishes the story just fine, the opening where they just kill off most of the characters really annoys me.  I understand why they had to remove a few characters, but after spending so much time with them, I find it very cheap just to kill them off so quickly.

Looking at this list, the 90s were a really good decade for movies, much better than the 2000s IMO.  Probably had to do with a much stronger independent movie scene.
