Were the late Senator Edward Kennedy and Criswell the same person?

Criswell in PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE:  "We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives."

Coincidence?  I think NOT.

Well, it's common knowledge that Edward Kennedy was a huge fan of Plan 9 from Outer Space.
