Batman: Arkham Asylum was a lot of fun.  That's more than what I can say for about 90% of the other Batman games.  The only downer to the game was that the boss battles were all way too similar.

Details are minimal thus far on Arkham City, but the name calls one thing to mind: Grand Theft Batman.  Is this going to be like the Spider-Man games, where you can explore all of Gotham City?  The idea of it is somehow both thrilling and disappointing.

It's thrilling because we've never gotten to explore Gotham in such detail.  Think of the potential of having all of Gotham, every nook and cranny, available to you.  As long as they keep all the things that made Arkham Asylum kick ass, they shouldn't have any problem with the sequel.

But it's also disappointing because this seems to be the answer for far too many games.  Let's just rip off GTA and Driver.  Some take every little piece from GTA, some just take the city exploration aspect.  Spider-Man, The Simpsons, Hulk, Jak, The Godfather, Scarface... Let's also not forget the slew of non-license derivatives like Saints Row (which is pretty awesome, btw), True Crime, The Getaway, Crackdown... We've been there, done that.  Throwing Batman into the mix can make it interesting, just as long as they don't put any street races in it, for the love of Cthulhu.

I've been brewing a good rant for the horrible street races in the first Saints Row, so I'm still bitter about street races in general.

Its the last Joker for Mark Hamill...NOOOOOOOOOOO! :bluesad:

That guy is the Joker!
I'm loving the fact that it's got Catwoman in it.

If God exists, why did he make me an atheist? Thats His first mistake.

I'm also disappointed that it is his last round, but I'm sure he'll go out in a blaze of glory.

Catwoman isn't the only one appearing though.  Riddler is back, Two-Face is in, Talia al Ghul, and Mr. Freeze as well who is voiced by Maurice LaMarche (The voices ofThe Brain and Egon Spengler!).

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

I'm looking forward to this.  I loved Batman Arkham Asylum.  By far, one of the best comic book viideo games out there.  I'm hoping we can get another game based on a different superhero, that has the same amount of love an attention to detail as it had.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

So, why's Hamill quitting doing the joker? Is he tiredof uit, or does some suit think it's time for him to retire? I thought hamil was delighted to get the role of the joker in the animated series.

He might have seen it as a way to get away from being typecast as Luke Skywalker as he had been.  Then he got type cast as the Joker.  Oh, the irony.
