Good grief: I was reading about him last night in my Halliwell's guide and wondering how he was. Sad indeed: RIP.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Another acting legend gone.  "Some Like It Hot" is a great film.

Fair winds and following seas, Mr. Curtis.

TONY CURTIS was under appreciated; not only is SOME LIKE IT HOT a great film, there's also THE DEFIANT ONES, SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, and his eerie portrayal of THE BOSTON STRANGLER

He was a very good actor.  Also another actor who inexplicably turned up in "Sextette."  Egad, but he made a terrible Russian diplomat in that film.  Of course, nobody's performance in that film was much fun to watch.

Another legend passes . . . a reminder that all of us are mortal.

I know it's hard for Jamie Lee and her sister try to get through this difficult time of losing another parent. It still hard for me losing my father two years ago. Mr.Curtis will always be one of my favorite actors of all time.  He was great in Movies Houdini, The Defiant Ones, The Great Race, The Bad News Bears Go To Japan, and others. Also TV shows Vega$, and The Fall Guy.  R.I.P. Mr. Curtis. :bluesad:

Some people are supposed to be permanent.   :bluesad:  Beyond the movies he left us, Mr Curtis was active in horse rescue.  Both legacies will live on.  Thank you, Tony.

Very sad news; my favorite movies he was featured in were SOME LIKE IT HOT, SPARTACUS  and THE DEFIANT ONES - three widely different performances.
I was driving to work when I heard about it on the radio and the idiot DJs made a big deal about how they'd never heard of him other than being Jamie Lee Curtis' dad; like that makes them cool somehow
