Plot wise, they're no good, but I always enjoyed those Rube Goldberg style death scenes.

I felt they were fun gore films, and nothing more.  Still haven't seen the fourth one.  And as 10,000 Volt Ghost said, the fourth wasn't a remake.  It was a full on sequel.

Anyway, I only vaguely recall seeing the first one. I was a tad too young for it at the time. I might give it a rent this month, though, since I'm in the market for some new horror movies to really get me pumped up for Halloween.

I really liked the first two; the remake was . . . meh.  The first film was really good till you got to the ending.  It was totally lame.
