I was going to do a poll on this but decided it would take forever.  So, in the spirit of my laziness list your top favorite french fries as served by your favorite restaurants.

1.) Burger King - mildly crunchy and just fry perfection I find.
2.) Five Guys Burgers And Fries - I believe the fry in peanut oil giving them a wonderfull distinct taste.
3.) Red Robin - steak fries plus they are bottomless!

Runners up include Johnny Rockets and Wendy's.

Anyplace that has thick steak fries with plenty of skin on 'em is tops in my book.
The shrivelled up, glistening with grease and gooey shoestring ones that are almost ALL skin are pretty gross IMO.
For the most part I think it's hard to make bad fries, so I enjoy them most places.

PT's.  Period.

Their burgers are meh, but their fries are incredible.  Fresh cut and they are covered in an amazing combination of spices.  From what I can tell, it's salt/vinegar and lemon pepper.  They are hands down, the best fries I've ever eaten.

Bojangles is a great runner up.  Awesome fries with amazing spices.  Worth going to the restaurant just for the fries.

My vote goes to Checkers (Rallys in some places). Their seasoned fries may not be your traditional version, but they are delicious. As one web reviewer puts it " The great thing about Checkers and Rally's is that they batter the potato with some sort of seasoned crack."

Cajun Battered Fries from Popeye's.
Worst: McD fries. Too thin, too hard, too greasy.

Braum's, an ice cream and burger store here in TX, has some really great crinkle cut fries.

Of the big chains, I prefer McDonald's.

But, a place called Nifty Fifty's has pretty good fries.  They're fresh cut everyday, you can even watch them cut the fries.  And the thing about their fries: a variety.  They have "Smothered Fries"
Texas Tommy Fries- Fries blended with grilled, diced hot dogs and bacon, topped with cheese whiz
Spicy Chicken Fries- fries blended with grilled diced chicken, spicy seasonings, cheese whiz and shredded provolone
Philly Cheesesteak Fries- topped with Philly Steak, whiz, and shredded provolone

and a few other varieties.  Extra fattening, I'm sure, but well worth it.

They don't have ketchup, but they have plenty of vinegar!

Steak 'N' Shake- They're so good that my mum doesn't use ketchup on 'em
Bud Broilers- It's local, but just like SNS, She doesn't need ketchup on em
yeah no.

I love McDonald's fries.  When they're fresh out of the tub of boiling oil, a pile of salt dumped on them - MMMMM!  They don't send me to McDonald's any more because half the fries are gone before I get back.

Agreed!
McDonald's fries are the bomb when they're right out of the fryer.
There have been many times when I went through their drive-thru just to get a large order of fries and nothing else.  If the fries are old, I will pull around, park my car, go in and ask them for fresh ones.

Wendy's Biggie fries dipped in a chocolate Frosty are pretty good, too.

I loved Burger King's fries the most.  Fried just enough and they right amount of salt to go with them to give them great flavor.  McDonalds are good, but a bit too salty for me at some points.

I heard good things from some friends.  But I loathe vinegar.  Ketchup is my favorite condiment.

You don't have to use vinegar, but it's the only condiment made available. Their fries are great either way though. I've heard lots of people will go somewhere else and buy a drink or something to get ketchup. There are 2 on the Ocean City, MD boardwalk so there are plenty of places nearby to get ketchup.

I would never use Vinegar.

There's a spot on the Wildwood boardwalk called Curley's Fries.  Pretty damned good fries.  Of course, I bypass the vinegar in favor of ketchup.

Although, I know people who use Mustard. :buggedout:
