The first Harry Potter film put me off even considering reading the books.

I didn't need the movies to do that. Never read any of the books, and I'll probably never will, as I just have no interest in reading them.

Me as well.  And it makes my wife sooooooo mad.  I will read most any kind of sci-fi or sword/sorcery book, but I won't get near Harry Potter.  She made me watch the first movie and now I will never, ever read those books.

Braindead made me not want to go to the zoo.

The movie 'Zoo' made me decide the entire human race is doomed, and rightly so.
Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

Hell Raiser made me forever afraid of puzzle boxes.  In fact, when we are out shopping my wife will bring me puzzle boxes off the shelf just so I can announce that I don't complete puzzle boxes because I don't like to be tortured.
