Did a bit of searching and after coming up empty, I decided to make yet another "top 100" list. Now, despite my musical tastes, this thread is for celebrating ANY genre of music. Feel free to post any album or EP that you feel deserves to be on this list. If you feel like it, add a mini review to your nomination. If you don't, no worries.

Starting things off:

1) Venom-Welcome to Hell

Venom's first and finest. Although the music isn't very technical, even a bit messy in some areas, it makes up for it in speed, aggressiveness, imagery and of course in its almost tounge-in-cheek lyrics. In my opinion, had it not been for "Welcome to Hell", we wouldn't have had extreme, thrash or black metal. I know that's up for debate, but like I said: it's MY opinion. To bad so sad.  :tongueout: :teddyr:

The Burgomaster

2) Elvis Costello - MY AIM IS TRUE

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

4.)Pink Floyd-The Wall:

I also think Dark Side Of The Moon should be known, but between the two I pick The Wall. Also has a pretty far out trippy movie that goes along with the album.

Rev. Powell

5. The Glenn Gould Edition - Bach: The Well-Tempered Clavier

Even though these recordings technically cover 4 CDs I think it's safe to consider them one album.  Some classical purists actually hate these maginificent recordings because Gould hums along while playing; I think that's what makes them special.

9)  Jimi Hendrix - Axis:  Bold As Love

Great bluesy guitar, great singing, very emotional.  Gotta love Jimi.

11.)Green Day-Dookie

One of the few albums I could listen to from the first track to the last.

12. Tom Waits - "Rain Dogs"

"You know how after the rain you see all these dogs that seem lost, wandering around. The rain washes away all their scent, all their direction."
