LAS VEGAS BLOODBATH (1989) is the most horrible slasher flick I've ever seen, quality and content-wise. A Jerry Seinfeld look-alike cuts his wife's head off and carries it around Vegas as he murders random lowlifes, prostitutes, and lady oil wrestlers. It has the double whammy of being incredibly dull AND containing some truly disgusting scenes.

If any movie ever deserved to be lost, this is it.

I did like the scene where a driver flips a bird and Not-Seinfeld shoots his middle finger off.

If you want to learn more about this one don't ask me, you can look it up for yourself.
Oh yeah! If you are looking for something REALLY sleazy in your slasher and don't mind wading through some subterranean-tier production values and acting until the final 30 minutes, LVBB is for you!

The ending, though mean-spirited, gross and quite implausible, is brilliant.

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

I just bought Las Vegas Bloodbath as part of a 6 movie set - for three dollars  :bouncegiggle:

A hidden gem of badness!  I have it in a Mill creek 50 movie pack.

Yep it's the kid we all know and love from The Christmas Story... It's a mystery to my why this movie is so obscure... You would think somebody would want to make money from another movie staring a kid (at the same age) in The Christmas Story... But this one is a slasher... :)

I couldn't find any trailers for it, but I remember seeing a film back in the 80's, an NC-17 film called Nightmare that starts out with a kid murdering his parents with an ax. There was a throat slashing scene in the film that's very hard to forget.

Beyond The Darkness aka Buried Alive was a hideously violent movie that I haven't forgotten in 20-some years since it's days on Gorgon Video VHS.

I also remember a film called The Phantom Of Terror from the early 80's.

EDIT: I also remember a very obscure movie with Micky Dolenz as the killer, called Night Of The Strangler. Yes, that Micky Dolenz.

Good call on that one.  Very obscure and disturbing.  There is a trailer out there under the better known title "Nightmares In A Damaged Brain"

Another goodie  is "Unhinged" (1982)

Recommended only for its badness level..
DON'T GO INTO THE WOODS (1981)
It's notoriously bad, and hilarious.  Especially the end credits song, done to the tune of Teddybears' Picnic.
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."
