SSRI withdrawal would be my bet.  Celexa can cause it, although Paxil is much worse for withdrawal... as is venlafaxine...

Possibly the worst rx for causing dependence and misbehavior is alprazolam (Xanax).  I'm hoping no one here is taking that much.  Clonazepam at least has a long half-life, and if I had to take a benzodiazepine I suppose that would be the one I'd pick.

Nefazodone (anti-depressant SSRI).

I'm assuming we're talking about meds you take daily?  It's a little weird to see two different guys on Clonazepam.  That stuff is highly addictive.  I'd be scared to take it too frequently.  I can understand why Votron felt heroin sick.  Withdrawal from benzodiazepenes probably is as bad as heroin withdrawal, and can even be fatal.

I have to take my Clonazepam four times a day. I don't see how it's addictive though, because I'm on a really low dosage and I can definately do without it for quite some time with no side effects. I think the main reason I got sick was withdrawals from my Zyprexa which is an antipsychotic. I'm not quite sure what it does exactly except it knocks me out cold. Most of my meds are to be taken at bedtime anyway. Helps me a lot because I've had severe insomnia for as long as I remember.

I assume your doctor prescribed a low enough dose that you won't become dependent.  I know that this drug is widely abused on the street, and like all benzodiazepenes the withdrawals are a b***h.  So I jumped to the conclusion that it was the clonazepam that was causing your symptoms.  This is why I'm not a doctor.  (Glad Zap jumped in while I was posting this).

I take that daily too, or famotidine (I mix them up depending on what's on sale).  I didn't think it was worth reporting.  (They're non-prescription drugs for acid reflux).

I have a doctor who insists on prescribing me Ambien every time I go in for a checkup, because I once complained about insomnia.  I think he must be getting kickbacks on every prescription ordered.  I take it very, very rarely, less than once a month, only as a last resort after I haven't slept for hours.

I take some stuff for Mennier's (inner ear problem) but thats it.... My wife had PPD, and was on some SSRI or other.  She stopped taking them and went into a tailspin, worse than the origianl problem ever was.  She went back on full dose, then weaned herself off over a few months with partial pills and stuff.

Co Q-10 to offset the Lipitor which depletes Co Q-10

And I eat tons of fruit and vegetables to offset the Hydrochlorothiazide which is thought to deplete potassium and B-12 rich foods to offset the B-12 depletion thought to be caused by metformin.

At one point I was taking about 5 other meds for various reasons in addition to that laundry list I just published. I've managed, with a doc's help, to slowly wean myself off them and I've cut back the dosages significantly on some of the remaining meds. My goal is to be completely med free in a year or two.

I was taking Lexapro until 2 months ago for anxiety. I stopped taking it with my docs consent and I went through withdrawls for almost a month. Felt like electric shocks in my brain. I was also taking Xanax for awhile but I luckily never became addicted. I was always very careful to take it only when absolutely necessary. I stoppd taking it when I was prescribed metoprolol though because the combo can cause respitory distress!

I can see how Xanax could become addictive. Anyone thinking about taking it should be very careful about not letting themself become addicted. You should think twice about taking it and use it only as a very last resort.

Clonazepam is pretty addicting. I assume only if taking for the sole reason of getting high. Granted, I have an addictive personality and stopped taking it, so I'm very cautious starting any medication due to my personal history.

As of now, I don't even take Advil or NyQuil when sick. In fact, people here mentioned specific things I now avoid, but since they are using a doctor and stuff it's ok.

True in my case certainly: the other thing is if I have had an anxiety or panic attack at work, I come on here, browse and quiet down reasonably quickly. The same goes for when I feel sick or have panic attacks at night, I come on here via my phone and calm down after a while and then am able to sleep.
