So apparently Cher made a movie last year called Burlesque.  Hmm, I don't know how to follow that up.

I heard one critic called it Showgirls Lite so maybe that means something to you guys that have seen Showgirls.  It's also a musical.  Again, I'm not sure how to follow that up.  Anyhow, here's the trailer:

If you've seen it, please speak up.  Is it worth seeing?  Should it be avoided?

Oh!  Musical number here:

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

Yes. I saw it. I posted a brief mention in "Recent Viewings" a month or two ago. It's really bad. It's beyond bad in a Showgirls kind of way. Showgirls at least has nudity and sex. No, this is more bad in a Xanadu kind of way. In fact, the best way to describe it is an almost even mix of Xanadu, Showgirls, Moulin Rouge, and Coyote Ugly. That's the best way I can come up with to describe it. I don't know if that makes it worth watching from a bad movie perspective, so, watch at your own risk. Even Stanley Tucci, who can be very entertaining, can't save it from disaster. In fact, Tucci is basically the same character he was in The Devil Wears Prada, but not in a good way.

Give it a shot if you want, but yeah, it's bad.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org
