How many here keep up with the weather and Joe Bastardi? He says next winters ahead are gonna really be cold like the late 70s.Anyone believe that?Im in South Carolina so we havent had any real long lasting true winters down here in over 20 years or maybe 25 so i hope hes right.

We did some bad winter/weather whining (without Joe Bastardi) just the other day http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,137409.0.html

Anyway, last year forecast here in Germany did predict a tough long cold snowy winter for this season, but we got zilch.

To be honest,I have no idea who Joe Bastardi is. That being said,I simply wait to see what the weather actually does. Forecasting is rarely an exact science....especially here in Texas.
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

Go to youtube Tracy and type in Joe Bastardi.

Of course his last name is "bastards" in Italian.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

Ain't that the truth. What do they say about Texas weather? If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes. It'll change.

In the area of Texas in which I live, I've seen rain so localized, that it'll be raining in one block, and you go up the street to the next block, and it's not raining. I won't disagree with Mr.Bastardi, but here in Texas, I'm far less concern with the next winter being cold, as I am about the next summer being hot. Last summer, where I live in Texas, it was the hottest summer on record, going back to the days they started keeping records. I am just afraid that this summer will beat last year's record for hot summers.
