Yeah, and Eric Stolz too.  I haven't watched the whole film actually.  I first heard about it from my high school science teacher, who was given a vintage VHS copy as a wedding gift while I was in high school.  Whole thing is on youtube for those interested.

THE AMITYVILLE HORROR had a ton (at least 8) sequels , prequels , spin offs etc.




justv watched one today on the internet AMITYVILLE 4 : The Evil Escapes , it was really cool
