This is a borderline "good movie."  I rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars, somewhere between "fair" and "good."

I purchased this DVD-R from SuperStrange Video.  It's a Czechoslovakian sci-fi/comedy with English subtitles.

A group of Nazis, who are able to slow their aging by taking a special drug, decide to travel back in time to 1944 and give Hitler a hydrogen bomb so he can win the war.  I believe the movie is supposed to take place sometime in the near future after 1977 (IMDB says it's in the 1990s) when time travel is commonly used for vacations.  For instance, people can take vacations back in time to see dinosaurs, the Battle of Waterloo, or other historical events.

Anyway, without going into too much detail, the pilot of the time machine chokes to death while eating his breakfast and his twin brother, who doesn't know about the Nazi plot, takes his place.  Due to a series of blunders, the plot fails and the Nazis decides to return to the future, fix their mistakes, then go back to World War II and attempt the plot again.

This is a fast-paced romp with a perfect running time of 90 minutes.  Sometimes, the subtitles flash on the screen very quickly, so I missed some of the dialogue and probably a couple of key plot points.

Overall, this movie is 90 minutes of harmless fun.  I can't give it a strong recommendation because there is nothing really outstanding about it.  But it did have a few laughs and interesting time travel elements . . . and I don't think I've ever seen a Czechoslovakian movie with English subtitles before . . . so I'll give it a very mild "thumbs up."

Thanks for the review. I think I'll be scratching this one off my "weird" to-see list. Sounds like a mildly offbeat comedy. All of those Czech films no one has ever seen get rated very highly on IMDB (probably a Czech conspiracy), but I'm always skeptical.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...
