I question the veracity of any article like this. Not to say it isn't true, but it is the internet.

My question is, who are these people who sign up for something like this? I remember seeing a placenta-eating party on one of those HBO "Real Sex" specials. Sure, you can do something like that, but why? The desire to eat human flesh is like playing with your own feces, a universal taboo. If you're tempted to do something like that, let along pay for the privilege, something has gone terribly wrong with your personal psychology.
