My Dad, a retired minister, celebrated his 86th birthday this week.
Today, my mom and all my siblings, as well as all but one of our spouses and five of the grandkids (the "second wave" that includes my daughters; all still in school and unmarried) were there to wish him a happy birthday!  He gave a nice little speech;
he is proud to have lived longer than any man on his Dad's side of the family for as far
back as we have traced our lineage, and he "still has every tooth the Lord gave him!"
He says that he is blessed in his children, but I think all of us know who God really blessed in our family!  Some people have childhood heroes, but I was fortunate enough
to be raised by mine!

Happy birthday, Indy Sr!  :cheers:

Please pass on all our good wishes to him: I remember when you said that he walked around on a BROKEN HIP for four days, believing that it was just badly bruised!  :buggedout: :buggedout: One tough guy, I believe.  :thumbup:

Hang on..... 86?? He doesn't even look 65!  :smile:
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Congrats on having a dad still kicking around in his 80s!
Spend your time with him well.

     What she said!
BTW, good hearing from you on Sunday!
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

     The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Thanks! I enjoyed our conversation!
