Classic horror song featured at the beginning of Ghost Manor on Atari 2600.  I'm drawing a blank.  Anyone know the song?

sorry can't help, but I'd like to know too, because that's one of the most instantly recognizable tunes. everyone knows that sequence of notes and associates it with spooky/scary stuff. something tells me it's not from a song, but maybe a film/tv theme? could be wrong though

Pretty good graphics for a 2600.  By the way, I don't know the song.

It is from "Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks" by Richard Strauss.

If you listen to that piece of music, you will hear that line along with at least 20 or so other 'riffs' recognizable from Warner Brothers cartoons.

(Thanks to J.T.E., music director and German History teacher)

Professor Hathaway:  I noticed you stopped stuttering.
Bodie:      I've been giving myself shock treatments.
Professor Hathaway: Up the voltage.
