RIP Richard Matheson, indeed. 

Matheson's stories formed the basis for so many of the great movies and shows we have seen for decades.  Everything from TV and movies like the Twilight Zone and The Omega Man, all the way to Real Steel just a couple of years ago.  His influence in science fiction is vast, and will live forever.

Richard Matheson is LEGEND. The man is to horror and sci fi what Tod Browning,Robert Bloch,and Forrest Ackerman.
He always gave back to the fandom community that loved his work.
Very dam sad.

RIP, I know I'm in a minority but I freaking love The Omega Man, it's not as good as the story it's based on, which is obviously timeless and it's influence is still being felt.

R.I.P. Richard Matheson. Such a great, talented writer! So much work on The Twilight Zone and such an influence no doubt on so many. Sorry to hear about his passing.
