I know the message is against hypocrisy, but whenever I've read that it's always seemed to me that it is also saying...if other people are doing wrong, your own wrongdoing can be overlooked. Like if you're a bank robber, you should associate with killers, so you won't be held accountable for your lesser crime. Also, if we are not told the woman repented, why did she merit forgiveness? Mercy, I guess? Thank God (literally) for mercy.

On a lighter note, I've also thought the cheating whore was also lucky Jesus' mom wasn't around, holding a rock, eh?  Now there's a woman without sin.

Happy Good Friday, everyone! Remember, no one comes to the father, save through Jesus, and today marks the act which made that coming to the father possible. I may not comprehend many of the mysteries of faith, but I do accept that the miraculous events of Holy Week did happen as we were told.
