Foggy memories of an grisly horror movie

I vaguely remember flipping through the channels as a child and briefly seeing this scene; There was a woman hanging her clothes out to dry on a tree branch, I want to say early morning, the light was dim and then a man or a creature (I told you it was hazy) came up and killed her. I forget how but what I do remember was he stripped her naked and hung her upside down from the tree and left her there to bleed out. There was no sound during this entire scene but then again I could have had it on mute. I'm worried this might have been a dream but I'm almost positive it wasn't. Please help me resolve this memory.

This sounds a little like William Friedkin's The Guardian.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Thank you for the reply but I don't think that's it. It wasn't the tree that killed her, it was the man that slashed her open (I forgot to mention this, sorry) I also remember her cabin being nearby? And she might have been naked prior to her death. But she was hung, bleeding profusely, from the tree branches and then the "man" just walked off screen again.

How old we talkin'?  Maybe early 80s during the slasher craze?
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

Definitely could be 80's. In fact that's more of a possibility since it was on TV when I saw it and we didn't have cable.
