Ok replica guns on a plane isn't the best idea.  I've heard that the TSA takes toy pirate guns from kids.  I think there needs to be something a little more reasonable.

Suspending kids from school for the year for playing with airsoft guns in their own yard?!  Ok sure the yard was (I guess) right next to the bus stop and stray BBs were hitting some of the other kids.  Anyone else remember being a kid and shooting at your friends with real copper BBs?  That's what my friends and I did when we were kids, and no one lost an eye!

Thing that gets me about the Airsoft kids, is that the school has changed their story several times.

The first version being that they were at the bus stop shooting other kids on purpose, then said they were seen chasing one kid while still one their front lawn, and are now saying they heard a rumor that one of the children may have been hit by a pellet that accidentally ricocheted off the paper target.

Of course they change their story, and people buy it too which is the sad part.

Just look at how they treat bullying. The bully gets away with murder and no one sees a thing, right? But...let the kid being bullied knock the school bully on his ass, and who goes to the office and who gets the sympathy treatment?   

Just another example of how the school acts.

The school has no business exercising their will on the property owner. None of their business.  The homeowner pays the mortgage, not the school. They also pay the taxes that keep the school running too. School has no power over property owner.

If the activity was legal and occurred off of school property I can't see how the school can punish it. Local school boards make foolish decisions all the time, though. They pay for it with public backlash.

So I guess now every kid who plays with a toy gun on his own property will get axed by his\her school?  Oh wait a minute...John Kerry signed the U.N. Small Arms treaty a few days ago...the Treaty includes a toy gun registry\ban list too (sarcasm).

There are over 13,000 school districts in the U.S. Over the past year, over 13,000 school districts did not make a decision as asinine as this one.
