I've spoken a lot about Ghoulardi on this site, but this lady was around a lot longer; she was phenomenal....

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

I grew up outside Tulsa, OK. They had a crapload of local shows that I loved and remember to this day.

The Uncanny Film Festival was a staple for Saturday night viewing. It starred Gailard Sartain, "Sherman Oaks" and a VERY young Gary Busey (before he cracked his head open and lost his mind).

Another great one was Uncle Zeb. How this man put up with kids for nearly ten years is beyond me, but the show was insane and gleefully stole music from Perrey and Kingley's The In Sound From Way Out! album.

And last, but certainly not least is Fantastic Theatre with Peter Hardt. I begged to stay up to watch this with my oldest brother, but they had to keep me out of the room until after the theme music played because it scared me sh*tless and I would scream and cry. Man, did they ever show crappy movies! "The Human Duplicators" and "The 4D Man" were two that stuck in my memory.

If you want to get a good taste of good ol' Tulsa weirdness and history from the TV generation, check out this site:

And don't forget to check out the areas about Weird Al's "UHF" being filmed in Tulsa and look into the history of Cain's Ballroom (we had some heavy-hitters of the 60s and 70s music scene wander through that place).

Gailard Sartain also played Oliver Hardy in the old movie "Laurel And Hardy, For Love Or Mummy."  He did a very convincing Oliver Hardy!

THE IT'S ALIVE SHOW
These guys are still on the air, and have been doing an annual zombie walk for about the last 5 yrs or so. It's horror movies, rock n roll and comedy bits. It's a damn entertaining show.
