Someone posted Network (1976) already but it reminded me that I love this one:

That whole ending was pretty epic and Stallone's monologue at the end was probably his finest acting. Good choice.

Here's a true classic from John Cassavete's "Killing of a Chinese Bookie"
Scene from The Killing of a Chinese Bookie, Ben Gazzara

Jim H

Brian Cox describing what happened to his family in the 2008 movie Red.  I can't find a video of.  Even if you hated the rest of the movie, that scene alone makes it worth viewing.

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Guess Who's Coming To Dinner (1967) - Spencer Tracy - The Final Speech

No one in South Africa saw that for many years as the film was banned: stupid censors.  :tongueout:

Christopher Plummer as Mike Wallace in The Insider  :buggedout: :buggedout:

Quote"Mike?" "Mike"? Try "Mr. Wallace." We work in the same corporation, doesn't mean we work in the same profession. What are you gonna do now? You gonna finesse me? Lawyer me some more? I've been in this profession fifty [expletive deleted] years. You and the people you work for are destroying the most-respected, the highest-rated, the most-profitable show on this network

I like the "dicks, pussies, and a***oles" speech from Team America: World Police (2004):

"Well, being a dick ain't so bad. See, there are three kinds of people: Dicks, pussies and a***oles. Pussies think everyone can get along and dicks just wanna f**k all the time without thinking it through. But then you got your a***oles, Chuck. And all the a***oles want is to s**t all over everything!

So pussies may get mad at dicks once in a while because pussies get f**ked by dicks. But dicks also f**k a***oles, Chuck. And if they didn't f**k the a***oles, you know what you'd get? You'd get your dick and your p***y all covered in s**t!"
First rule is, 'The laws of Germany'
Second rule is, 'Be nice to mommy'
Third rule is, 'Don't talk to commies'
Fourth rule is, 'Eat kosher salamis'

RAMBO First Blood

The ending speech in Rambo First Blood Part 2 was great. Trautman asks Rambo what he wants, and he goes:

"What I want, is what they want (points to the rescued POWS)

"What I want, is what every other guy who came over here and spilled his guts out wants..for our country to love us, as much as WE, love itThat's what I want.."

As he walks away, Trautman says "How will you live, John"?
"Day by day"...

Couldn't find the clip but this speech has stuck with me for nearly 30 years after. The crowd erupted in cheers afterwards. That was in 1985, around 20 years after our involvement.
