>Crying Freeman is a great series

Forgot that one.  That's a good one.  I saw five...how many were in the series?

>I also loved Starblazers is my absolute favorite

Ahhh..for childhood nostaligia...that one and "Battle Of The Planets"  (the G-Force team in their transforming vehicles with Mark, Jason, Tiny, Princess, Cheops, 7 Zark 7, and the Fiery Pheonix)

Future Blob

A side note.. What exactly makes a movie anime?

Jay O'Connor

What makes a movie a "b movie" *shrug*

'I know it when I see it'

Sven A

Anime = just any animated stuff from Japan, just as manga = any comic made in Japan. Of course, the japanese - since around the 70's I think -  themselves use the word for animation in general worlwide

"What makes a movie anime?"
The eyes.  'Nuff said.

And thank GOD none of you like that painful series that they call Sailor Moon.  Gay, gay, gay, gay, GAY!!!!!!!!!  Annoying characters, lame battle scenes, and the good guys always win.  S-T-U-P-I-D.

As much as I've seen of Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D were good.  I detest all other anime.

Looks like a good place to ask this; I saw the movie Robot Carnival on the SFC and I was wondering; are all the segments stand-alone, or were they taken from other movies and series?

Battle of The Planets. I almost forgot about that one. I loved that one.

Crying Freeman only had 5 episodes released in the states then there was a live action film out of Canada that was done. I haven't seen it yet but from what I've heard it wasn't bad
