Mid 80s early 90s comedy

Clumsy and totally incompetent guy works in his father-in-law company.
They argue all the time and the clumsy guy threatens to kill his father in law.
Father in law really gets killed by unknown assailant and the clumsy guy finds the body and afraid that he will be accused of murder goes on the run from the police and law
But in the office where the murder occurred someone has installed video camera that recorded both the murder and the real murderer and also recorded the moment when the clumsy guy find the body of his father in law. The clumsy guy doesn't know that and as I said he goes on the run from the law....

I also remember the scene when he finds a train or truck loaded with some sort of canned food and he eat almost whole shipment of that canned food

That would be the extremely under-rated The Wrong Guy starring Dave Foley.

The film certainly has its flaws, but me and my brother still quote it to this day.

"Why'd you laugh like that?"
"Like what?"
"All weird... and creepy."
