Sounds like it might have been loosely based on the real serial killer chronicled in Eric Larson's DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY.
He lured a large number of young women to their deaths during the Chicago World's Fair in the 1890's.

Herman Webster Mudgett aka H.H.Holmes infamous murder castle-complete with acid baths and trap doors. That's a great book,by the way. I read it about 5 years ago.

Gotham  (I don't know, it showed some promise but overall I didn't care for it).

Picked up a couple of seasons of American Horror Story on Black Friday (Freakshow & Hotel), so working my way through them. I'd previously only watched the first season so guess I am going to have to look out for the ones in between.

Sat and watched Constantine on Amazon and now working my way through Man On The High Castle and Jericho.
