I'm calling this a Roman Movie...

But its this wizard or warlock is performing a spell, and what he does is he takes his own hand and extends his hand and his hand grows and grows and grows probably miles long.  Its being performed around a candle I think, while another person is sleeping.  May be trying to take something of value back.

But then the Wizard or Warlock gets his hand cut off...
