RIP Eegah;

QuoteRichard Kiel, the character actor best-known as the metal-mouthed villain in two James Bond movies, has died at 74, according to his son, Richard G. Kiel.

Kiel was born in Detroit, Michigan, on September 13, 1939, and he went on to act in television shows, including the "Twilight Zone" and "Lassie," before taking on the role of Jaws in the Roger Moore James Bond films "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Moonraker." The 7-foot-tall actor went on to play in Adam Sandler's "Happy Gilmore" and voiced the part of Vlad in the animated feature film "Tangled."

Kiel passed away at Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, California. He had been in the hospital since last week recovering from a leg injury.

And in addition to Jaws, he also played the title role in Eegah - which Joel and the 'bots had a bit of fun with.

 :bluesad: R.I.P. Richard Kiel....I loved him as Jaws in the James Bond films. And honestly I enjoyed watching him in everything else I've seen him in, he had a great screen presence.

A shame. This man was so well-known, even though people never knew his name.

You will be missed, good and kind sir. Sleep well, for you are loved by many.

Honestly I'd say he's more attractive than Arch Hall Jr.

But over all I'd call him an under-rated actor. I will miss him.

RIP, Mr. Kiel.  His IMDB credits list 78 appearances, mostly TV.  Wish he had appeared in more films as the antagonist or a heavy.  He certainly had the presence for those parts.  I think he would have been great in sword and sorcery or barbarian films.

He was also great in THE LONGEST YARD.  Rest well, big guy.

The guy wasn't ever going to win an Oscar but he was never bad in a movie.  Even in Eegah, he was giving it a top notch effort.  I'll miss him.

Ugh, looking at the news board is depressing.  Nothing but "RIP, RIP, RIP..."

Rest in peace, Mr. Kiel.  He seems like he was such a nice, genuine fella.
