monster bump

I was looking at everything that came out last year but damn, I never did see the bulk of what I wanted to because my work hours were all over the place

Oh, there's a lot of them.  Especially since I don't have Netflix anymore, and the cable package we have just gives us two movies channels that play older stuff.  (Hey, not complaining, I don't pay the bill, so I'm grateful for anything really.)

I know there's sites you can see movies but, seems like every time I try one I get bombarded with popups telling me my computer's infected and I need to download a program to fix it or call an 800 number or some crap.

Anyway, here's some I haven't seen yet...

What We Do In The Shadows (heard this was REALLY funny)
Hardcore Henry
Goosebumps (not really on the top of my list, but just "someday")
Star Wars: Rogue One (come to think of it, is this even out on DVD yet?)
Wer
Suicide Squad
Moana
Arrival
The Purge Election Year
Goodnight Mommy
REC 2
VHS Viral (yeah, heard it kind of sucked, but still...)

And, believe it or not, I have not seen all of Troll 2.  I know, I know... but with all the clips and reviews and stuff I've watched seems like I have pretty much seen the whole movie, but still...

BoyScoutKevin

The Great Wall w/ Matt Damon, which I may see this weekend, if I have nothing better to do.

If for no other reason, then it raises the question: what will play here [U.S.] will it play there [China], and what will play there [China], will it play here [U.S.?] And the answer is . . .

For a film that cost $150,000,000 to make is doing well there, where it has earned $147,000,000 so far, but not here as of February 20 of this year, only $20,508,000 at the U.S. box office, and while it has not played out yet, and despite the criticism of the box office in China for the American Rogue One : a Star Wars Story, that did better in China than theirs did here so far. And the American film did better in the rest of the world, earning more than $400,000,000 worldwide, while the Chinese film as of January 22 of this year has earned only $57,000,000 in the rest of the world or so.

And maybe we shall see what we shall see this weekend.

An 80s Japanese sf movie called 'Sayanora Jupiter'.  I've heard about it and seen info on it but damned if I can find it.
