Can't modify our posts?

I can't seem to be able to modify my posts, after I post a thread to go back and fix a typo or add a thought that came to me later. Do we need a certain post-count or admin ability to be able to edit our posts? I understand spam is an issue which has to do with it, but I see others able to edit their posts but I can never seem to find a modify button for myself. It's an ocd thing to me which usually involves wanting to edit a typing error or like I said a whole new thought to my post... Anybody clear this up for me on the guideline to modify?

You can modify your posts but you do need a certain amount of posts first. I believe it may be 100 posts but don't quote me, please.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

You've got it.

The reason is that I found link spammers would create an account, make posts, then let the account sit unused for weeks or months.  They would then go in and edit their posts to add the spam links - thus falling under the radar.  The posts were not new, so they didn't rise to the top and get seen by human eyes, but the spam links were found by search engines.

Ahhh, Okay. Thanks! Makes sense. I just didn't know if I was blind or not.  :buggedout:  :tongueout:

Is this why I can't post links or look at other profiles yet?

Post links, yes. Look at profiles is a mystery to me, first time I've heard that complaint.
