Facebook can be a horrible place...

If you've friended me on FB, you'll know that I sometimes post pics of my "menagerie" on there, showing them recovering from baths, "eating pizza", standing on my coffee table (that will be Godzilla) or just generally hanging around, keeping me company and often amused.

On Tuesday, I posted a pic of Cookie Monster wedged in my security door, trying to get away after being bathed. Newt said the pic reminded her of The Pit and The Pendulum and she was glad that Cookie got away.  :teddyr: :teddyr:

Then this one idiot - named Joseph - posted telling me that "I should seek professional help because of my stuffed animal fetish". :hatred:

Needless to say, I exploded and told this [expletive deleted] that because of the abuse I suffered as a child and later as an adolescent, these toys keep me sane and that is the reason, after almost 49 years of life, that I still have my first toy, a rather elderly and grubby Teddy. :bluesad:

I have never unfriended anyone on there but I will unfriend this person - thankfully not someone from here - today.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Sorry, facebook is ok if you own the account and seldom go on it.

I have Two Facebook accounts. One with my real name (which I go on very rarely) and one with my Pen-name Richard Staschy which I had not been on for almost 2 years but I made the account to lock my pen-name on the account.

I do agree it can be a horrible place. The stuff that I hear from my family members is crazy, but I try not to interact - unless it's necessary.

As for the image, it sounds funny.  I would believe because we are from the age of Muppets; that most of us has this "Stuffed Animal Fetish." I don't see any wrong or it being bad. I think younger people like Joseph will not understand, and he was being rude. Unless Joseph was from our generation - than he has a 'Closet Stuffed Animal Fetish' problem and he's the one that needs to seek help (because form some reason he thinks this is a fetish).

The guys a jerk-f**k him. So you love stuffed animals. I love old books. I have a freind who collects Hot Wheel cars.
"Stuffed animal fetish". THAT guy needs help! That something so innocent makes you happy is great. Obviously it makes this creep happy by s**tting on others-so f**k 'em.  :hatred:

Sorry to hear that Trev, somehow I missed it.  Just as well.

I talk about my animals.  You post pic's of your stuffies.  Big deal.  We all have little things we do that we find help us through the days.  Apparently for some people that 'thing' is being negative and offensive over a harmless posting.

Ah, some people are just miserable.  I work retail, so I deal with it every day.  It used to upset me until I realized people's hateful criticisms toward me said a lot more about them than me.

I use FB to plug my novels, stay in touch with friends, and connect with others who collect arrowheads.  As a result, I have about 900 people on my friends list, many of whom I barely know.  I ignore most of the offensive crap.

Thanks: the Cookie doll I have is huge and he is still not dry, so I stuck him in the window before I left this morning.  :teddyr:

I agree that he might need some help: I joked a few days earlier that I took my car to the car wash and had a cold shower there while the car was being cleaned. He asked me if I was Amish and if I had no water at my place. I was joking!

Anyway, that water is ice cold, so I wouldn't shower there  :buggedout:
