Do you live in the Big City or the Boonies?
A small town or a farm?
Or the 'burbs?

I live in Lawton MI,- a small town Pop.- 1,871 in 2014
We're surrounded by lakes and rivers and cornfields and grape vineyards.
I've lived in NYC-my birthplace, and on Long Island, but I prefer Lawton, which has been my hometown since 1969.

Born in a city, grew up in a small town and I now live in a s**tty, sorry, a city.  :teddyr:

I suppose suburbs is probably the best way to describe where I live...if I go 10 minutes to the east by car I'd be slap bang in the middle of a rather busy city...if I go 10 minutes to the west though I'd literally be out in the sticks with nothing but miles and miles of countryside in front of me...My house is in the kind of place where your lucky to see a person and you'll probably only see a dozen cars all day...its quiet but not too quiet :)

I live in the country, but I am ten minutes from a fair sized town and an hour out of Dallas.

We live amid artificial country. It's not far from the city but the woods here was preserved from the 1800s on, so it seems like you're in the middle of Sherwood Forest, complete with owls, deer herds, coyotes, foxes, you name it, but I'm twenty minutes from downtown and less than ten from the biggest shopping mecca in the region, with a national scenic river not far away. It's pretty here.

Edge of the suburbs and country.

I am also on the edge of the suburbs and country. Drive five minutes west and I'm in the boonies, 30 minutes east to the slums.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Was born in Glasgow, but mostly I've grown up in small villages.

Currently I live in a small village called Lossiemouth which has a population of around 7000 people. It's near the largest spaces of undeveloped wilderness left in the UK with the closest city being 45 minutes away.

I live in Billerica, MA, a town with about 40,000 residents. It's generally a quiet place with several strip malls but no major shopping centers. There are a few office parks and restaurants. It is conveniently located because it is surrounded by 4 major highways (Rte. 95, Rte. 93, Rte 495 and Rte. 3) and has a couple of minor arteries running through the middle of it (Rte. 129 and Rte. 3A). I can drive to Boston in about 20 minutes and I'm just south of the NH border.

Small town. Population 13.319 (2016)
Surrounded by fields, lakes, woods and countless small villages. Our town is the center of connecting roads to the highway leading to bigger cities about 15 - 20 miles away. So there's heavy traffic on the main roads during the day.

We got our very first McDonalds three years ago.
Our town is well known for carpfarming.

Until 10, 15 years ago we only had a yearly Christmas market and the old town's fair. These days its almost impossible to count all the fairs and activities. One of the weirdest last year was "wear something white picnic" which took place at the town square. Then we had a "ladies night fair" that included a fashionshow and women up for auction
