Shin Godzilla.  One of the most intelligently written and generally intelligent movies in recent years.  More believable than all. The fast and furious movies combined.

I really disliked shin godzilla tbh

so did i, i think i mentioned that in a different thread a while back. for me , the worst part was the whole"progress of the growing beast" thing.. the monsters were terrible, and pointless.

Karl Urban's 'Dredd ' was horribly underrated.  I think a lot of this had to do with the steaming pile of cinematic excrement sylgester Stallone defecated onto movie screens and named 'judge dredd' many years earlier permanently poisoning the brand name.

While 'dredd' wasn't perfect it was pretty damn good.  If you haven't seen it you should correct this situation at your earliest convenience.

What's funny is, fans of it claim it's super original. But it's essentially The Host (2006) with Godzilla references

Though I really liked Shin Godzilla, I will add that in addition the being similar to The Host, it reminded me of a serious version of Monster X Strikes Back/Attack the G8 Summit!

Personally, I think Last Action Hero is a much better movie than it is given credit for.  I recently rewatched it and really enjoyed it.   I think it's a solid action movie, and it's a great self-parody that pokes fun at Schwarzenegger 's movies (and over-the-top action movie sin general) but still shows a sincere appreciation.

The promotion for that movie was epically bad, which is probably why it didn't do well at the box office.

Even in our own community, I am sad to say that there are those who do not appreciate the sheer genius and poetry of SUCKER PUNCH.  :bluesad:

People are claiming that shin godzilla is a ripoff of "the host" 2006. I looked up the description of that movie and I sure don't see any similarity to the host in shin godzilla.

Karl Urban has repeatidly expressed interest in playing Dredd again and they've been trying to get it going as a TV series for the part year or so.

TYTD Reviews

I argue the case time and again (and im saving it as a topic to cover over on my youtube channel for some kind of big celebration because Holy hell I could talk your ear off about this one) But Halloween 3: Season of the Witch is criminally underrated to the point that I've given up arguing its case with everyone who says its crap. I think most people just look at the title, go: "Oh Michael Myers isnt in this one and there arnt many stabbings" and then label it crap and tune out. I think its arguably one of Carpenters finest works. genuinely. and I'd go as far to say it far outshines the original Halloween to me. it's one of my favourite films ever made.

I am also a fan of Halloween III, and I feel like it's kind of being rediscovered lately and finding more of an audience.  I have at least seen more positive reviews out there online.

HALLOWEEN III was better than II !
I just wish they did the rest of the Halloween movies as independent stories-instead of Micheal Myers all the time.

Rob Zombie's Halloween 2

Rob dared to stray from the path and create something different, and everybody hated it. I liked it and thought it was very imaginative but I can see how it p**ses off fanboys.
