OK,  fun thread,  simple rules.  Pick two characters from two movies that have something in common.  Name the common point and the characters. The next person to reply to the thread picks a ''winner'' and gives some reason,  however brief,  serious or silly.  They he picks a theme,  two characters and leaves it for the next poster to pick a winner and repeat the cycle.

To start off:

Evil villains mind controlled servant.
Renfield from Lugosi's Dracula vs Torgo from Manos,  the hands of fate.
The doctor that circumcised Trump threw away the wrong piece.

RCMerchant

Renfield wins.
Torgo's knobby knees will defeat him in the end.

Humanoid sea monsters-the Creature from the Black Lagoon and the Monster of Piedras Blancas.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

The creature.  He was a straight up killer.. The monster had a slight split personality,  sometimes he killed and sometimes he didn't.

Giant mutant bugs.

The tarantula from 'The deadly tarantula'' vs about 25 of tge giant ants from. ''Them''!
The doctor that circumcised Trump threw away the wrong piece.

RCMerchant

the ants of course. By sheer number they would over-power Tarantula.

Super-powered cartoon guys.
Popeye Vs. Superman

Superman.  All that pipe smoking has really cut Popeye's endurance. Plus superman would attack from his blind side.

Mindless mute murder machine melee.

Michael Meyers vs Jason Voorhees.

Michael Meyers vs Jason Voorhees.
Voorhees: More upper body mass.

Comedy animal sidekicks.

Cheeta from Tarzan, Chim-Chim from Speed racer.
"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

Svengoolie 3

Cheetah.  He had the dignity to go nude instead of wearing a demeaning outfit.

Starship captains.  Star trek's James T.  Kirk vs battlestar galactica's William Adama.
The doctor that circumcised Trump threw away the wrong piece.

RCMerchant

Kirk, of course. I mean- he beat a Gorn!

The Man with No Name Vs.the Outlaw Josey Wales

I'm going to give it to the Man with No Name.  He just feels a bit more ... mythic.

The Evil Dead vs Gremlins

Svengoolie 3

Gremlins. Just for the tribute to Robby the robot.

Bond villain brawl: Oddjob vs. Jaws.
The doctor that circumcised Trump threw away the wrong piece.

RCMerchant

Oddjob- Jaws can't use his teeth if a flying bowler cut's his head off!

Vampira Vs. Elvira
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

Vampira.  Wins on originality.

Unread monster seeking a lover.  Logosi's Dracula vs.  Karloff's mummy.  And we already know what you'll say RC!  :tongueout:

Nobody said it better than Edward Van Sloan in THE MUMMY:

"If I could get my hands on you I'd break your dried bones into dust!"

He'd do it, too!

Plus you've got a wrinkled old lech  vs a suave European Count in a tux.

Japanese Giants!

It's been discussed before but:

GODZILLA VS GAMERA

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

Or how about: BEA ARTHUR VS A VELOCIRAPTOR

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

RCMerchant

Godzilla of course-I mean...he's King of the Monsters!
As for Bea and the Velociraptor...the dinosaur wins (which means Bea Arthur!  :twirl:)

Teenage Frankenstein vs Teenage Werewolf
